Why I preferred metered-stamped card for my Philippine postcard collection?


I like it simply because the stamping shows the place of origin from where the card had been sent, in this case the province/city of origin.  For me it added a more appealing and memorable impression to the card.  





Albay is a province of the Philippines located in the Bicol Region in southeastern Luzon Island.  The capital of the province is Legazpi City, the regional administrative center of Bicol region, which is located in the southern foothill of Mayon Volcano, the symbol most associated with the province.  This nearly perfectly shaped active volcano forms a scenic backdrop to the city of Legazpi and is visible throughout the municipalities and cities of Albay including  the surrounding provinces. - wikipedia 




Benguet is a landlocked province of the Philippines located in the southern tip of the Cordillera Administrative Region in the island of Luzon. Its capital is La Trinidad.  The highland province is known as the "Salad Bowl of the Philippines" because of its huge production of upland vegetables.  Located in the interior of Benguet is the highly urbanized city of Baguio, which is independent of the province.







Cagayan is a lprovince of the Philippines in the Cagayan Valley Region in the northeast of Luzon Island, and includes the Babuyan Islands to the north. The province borders Ilocos Norte and Apayao to the west, and Kalinga and Isabela to the south. Its capital is Tuguegarao.




Cebu an island province in the Philippines, consisting of the main island itself and 167 surrounding islands and islets.  Its capital is Cebu City, the oldest city in the Philippines, which forms part of the Cebu Metropolitan Area together with four neighboring cities (which comprise Danao City, Lapu-Lapu City, Mandau City and Talisay City).  The Cebu Provincial Capitol is the seat of the provincial government designewd by Juan M. Caloocan (often spelled as Kalookan) is the third most populous city in the Philippines. It is one of the 16 cities that make up Metro Manila, the National Capital Region of the country. According to the 2010 census, it has a population of 1,489,40. - wikipedia








Ifugao
is a landlocked province of the Philippines in the Cordillera Administrative Region in Luzon. Its capital is Lagawe and it borders Benguet to the west, Mountain Province to the north, Isabela to the east, and Nueva Vizcaya to the south. -

Negros Oriental, also called Oriental Negros or "Eastern Negros", is a province of the Philippines located in the Central Visayas region.  It occupies the southeastern half of the island of Negros, with Negros Occidental comprising the north-western half.  It also includes Apo Island - a popular dive site for both local and foreign tourists.  The primary spoken language is Cebuano, and the predominant religious denomination is Roman Catholicism.  Dumaguete City is the  capital, seat of government, and most populous city. - wikipedia






Palawan officially the Province of Palawan, is an island province of the Philippines that is located in the MIMAROPA region.  It is the largest province in the country in terms of total area jurisdiction.  Its capital is Puerto Princesa City,but it is governed independently from the province.  - wikipedia

A good time to visit Puerto Princesa is during one of its many festivals.  if you want to see Puerto Princesa in all its glory, then definitely plan a trip during one of these many celebrations.  







Pangasinan
 is a province in the Philippines and its provincial capital is Lingayen.  It is located in the western area of the island of Luzon along Lingayen Gulf and South China Sea.  The Hundred Islands National Park is one of its popular tourist attractions. - wikipedia













Pasig City, a formerly rural settlement, is primarily residential and industrial, but has been becoming increasingly commercial in recent years, particularly after the construction of the Ortigas Center business district in its west. The city is also the see of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Pasig,  making its cathedral (formerly the Immaculate Conception Cathedral) a landmark built around the same time as the town's foundation in 1573.
